New Beith Road / Goodna Road Upgrade Alignment Investigation
Logan City Council is planning major road upgrades in the Greenbank area. To help improve connectivity within Greenbank and beyond, we have been examining alignment options along Goodna Road and New Beith Road to ensure our local road network remains fit for purpose well into the future.
The current alignment experiences congestion during the morning and afternoon peak periods. The improvements are aimed at ensuring the road network can safely and effectively accommodate this rising traffic demand as our community grows.
Project Status
Following community feedback and technical assessment, the adopted new road alignment will bypass the Greenbank State School to separate school traffic from growing traffic volumes in the area. This will ease local congestion and improve traffic flow.
The project is now in the preliminary design stage. The position of the road within the alignment corridor will be determined during this stage, which should be completed by early 2024.
