Invasive weeds and pest animals have significant negative impacts on the environment, the economy (particularly tourism and agriculture) and the community, including human health and social amenity.

The new City of Logan Biosecurity Plan 2017-2022 (a pest management plan) has been adopted by Council and will come into effect on 2 January 2018.
