The City of Logan, like the rest of Australia, can expect climate change to impact the frequency and severity of floods, droughts, heatwaves and bushfires.

A 10 year strategy has been drafted to build the City of Logan’s resilience against climate change. The Draft Climate Change Resilience Strategy 2021-2031 (the Strategy) is part of Council’s vision to become carbon neutral.

The Strategy aims to build climate change resilience under four areas of sustainability:

  1. Environment
  2. Community
  3. Economy
  4. Governance
