Updated - January 2019

We thank residents for their interest and suggestions for the draft concept plan for the Eagleby Wetlands.

We have read all feedback and incorporated peoples suggestions in the updated draft concept plan to reflect this where possible.

We have included suggestions for interpretive signage, additional seating and pontoon, CCV camera as well as additional boardwalks in the masterplan. All concerns regarding maintenance of the area and environmental concerns have been passed onto the relevant branches for attention.

The revised conceptual masterplan can be viewed via the document library and you're welcome to provide your thoughts on this updated plan until the end of April 2019.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Eagleby Wetlands Conservation Reserves comprise of a cluster of wetland reserves in a suburban/rural matrix on the floodplain of the Logan and Albert Rivers. The Eagleby Wetlands Conservation Reserves are made up of a total 10 reserves covering an area of 45 hectares.

Council is developing a conceptual masterplan for the Eagleby Wetlands to complement the natural settings and features of this ephemeral wetland. This aspirational masterplan will look to incorporate improved infrastructure like pathways, platforms, barbecuing facilities and car parking to name a few. This is all with the aim to increase recreational opportunities and make this a destination wetland park.

Council is interested in the community's thoughts on the masterplan design so as funding becomes available in the future, Council could quickly act safe in the knowledge Council is working in line with community views.

Please have a look at the Eagleby Wetlands conceptual masterplan PDF located in the 'Document Library' and then share your thoughts.
