If you use gas on site, regardless if it is a fixed system or not, you must agree to all items on the checklist below:

    1. Has all gas work been undertaken by a licensed gas fitter?

    2. Is the cylinder safety outlet/valve facing away from the structure?

    3. Are all cylinders within 10 years of the last test date. Date is found on the cylinder neck?

    4. Are spare cylinders, whether full or empty, stored externally in a secure and ventilated area?

    5. Are all cylinders located at least 1.5 meters away from ignition sources (naked flames, flammable materials, electric sockets/sources)?

    6. Are cylinders stable and secured in an upright position on a level, non-combustible surface in a well‐ventilated location?

    7. Have all cylinder connections been checked for leaks with soapy water?

    8. Are gas hoses in good condition (no kinks or abrasions)?

    9. Is each cylinder in good condition, with no excessive dents, deformations, or corrosion?

    10. Are all gas hoses protected from accidental damage or tripping?

    11. Do you have operating instructions for the use of all appliances?

    12. Have all appliances been approved and do they display any relevant certification badges?

    13. Are all safety devices, such as flame failure devices and gas shut‐off valves, operations and regularly tested?

    14. Do you have clear access to the gas cylinder valve if you need to turn the gas supply off in an emergency?

    15. Is there a suitable fire extinguisher available?

    16. Are staff trained to exchange gas cylinders?

    17. Are all gas pressure regulators firmly mounted and in good working order?

    18. Are your staff aware of the relevant emergency procedures?

    19. Do you have a fire blanket, in an easily accessible location?
