Consultation has concluded
The City of Logan contains an amazing range of natural areas including rainforests, bushland reserves, waterways, and wetlands which are home to an incredible diversity of native animals and plants- some so unique and iconic, they are world renowned. Our natural areas are highly valued by our community and form an integral and important part of the identity, cultural history, and fabric of our city.
Through the development of the 2021 Community Vision, our residents told us they place a high value on a thriving natural environment in a growing region and want to work with Council to protect and enhance nature.
Council has developed the Draft City of Logan Natural Environment Strategy 2021-2031 in direct response to this feedback. The strategy sets out a vision:
The City of Logan’s natural environment is protected, enhanced, connected, and celebrated to provide valued spaces for people, plants, and animals now and into the future.
This will be achieved through the following Strategic Outcomes:
SO1 Nature is protected and enhanced – our native flora and fauna will always thrive in valued, protected, and enhanced natural environments.
SO2 Nature is connected – the natural environment is connected and woven through the City of Logan, bringing the community together with nature.
SO3 Nature is celebrated – our community works together to enhance and celebrate our natural environment, enjoying it today and preserving it for the future
We want to know what you think about each of these strategic outcomes and the proposed plan of action.
Did we hear you correctly? You can download a copy of the strategy from the document library on the right-hand side.
We encourage you to read the strategy and provide feedback on each of the strategic outcomes and/or the whole document by Sunday 24 October 2021, 11:45 pm.
On completing the survey, you can enter into a draw to win one of two $100 eftpos cards! (terms and conditions apply)
