Model planes

The Logan community is invited to provide input regarding Logan City Council’s lease with the Loganholme Aeromodellers Radio Control Society Inc (LARCS).

The organisation is one of the biggest aero modeller hobby clubs in Australia with 252 members and has called Logan its home since the 1990s. LARCS provides quality flight paths, flight training, workshops and member services to the community.

Council is considering the conditions of renewal for LARCS’ lease at 96-112 Chetwynd Street, Loganholme for another five years. Council will be processing the lease renewal for LARCS under its Licence or Lease of Council Owned or Controlled Land to Sporting, Recreational and Community Organisations policy.

As part of this renewal process, an assessment is being made of the organisation's community impact and Council is seeking feedback from local residents.

Council wants to hear about ways LARCS' operations can improve its impacts on the local community.

This consultation closes 11.45pm Sunday 10 November 2019.
