Sturdee Park - cricket nets

Logan City Council is planning to enhance recreational opportunities for cricketers of all ages in Sturdee Park, Loganlea.

The proposed cricket net, to be located near the Sturdee Street entrance in Sturdee Park, aims to provide a dedicated area for cricketers.

The 3 metre-tall, 16 metre-long, and 3.6 metre-wide net will feature a concrete pad underneath, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all users.

The nets will encourage physical activity, help build cricketing skills and provide a new feature at Sturdee Park.

    Thank you for your feedback into the Sturdee Park survey.

    We had 21 responses.

    • Most respondents were from Loganlea.
    • Despite 48% of respondents admitting not playing cricket, 76% respondents said they would use the cricket nets.
    • Based on community feedback, Council will proceed to install the nets.
