Logan City Council is excited to announce the development of a new Youth space at 22 Wilbur Street, Logan Central and we want to hear from you!

The space is located next to and in the same building as the Logan Central Library. Previous studies and engagement have led to Council's decision for the space to become a future Youth Centre. The next step is to hear ideas and feedback from youth aged between 12 and 24, Your ideas and feedback will help decide the future use and design of the space.

The aim of the engagement process is to involve young people at every stage of the project journey. It is important that young people have an opportunity to shape final project outcome.

As part of this project Council wants to understand what the young people of Logan value. We want to know how you currently use spaces in and around the local area. We also want to know what you believe are gaps in what is currently provided. These insights will help us develop design ideas to test with you as the project progresses.

How to get involved!

Get involved by completing the short survey. We also have set-up an interactive map. You can add a pin on the map to show the places you currently spend time in when you are not at home, school or work. Please also let us know why you enjoy spending time there and what sorts of activities you do there. The map will help Council to understand how you currently spend time in our City. Your input can inform the design of the new space.

Did you know we're also holding a workshop?

If you are a Logan resident between the ages of 12 and 24, we would love for you to participate in a workshop where you can actively help shape your future dedicated youth centre. All you need to do is register to attend our workshop using the link below:

Interactive Mapping Activity

over 2 years

This activity requires you to map your 'third space'. Your third space is a place that you go to that is not your home, or school or where you work.

We have provided pins that you can drop in local locations on the map. Please help us by commenting on what you do at that location and what days/times you visit.

By seeing where you spend your time and what you do, we can see what already exists in the area. This also helps us to understand what extra activities might be best for the future Wilbur Street Youth Centre.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

CLOSED: This map consultation has concluded.
