Beenleigh Aquatic Centre - Upgrade

From July to August 2022 Logan CIty Council invited the community to have its say on the Beenleigh Aquatic Centre upgrade. Thank you to everyone who has given input. We had an enthusiastic response, with 396 submissions, and we have been analysing your feedback. To find out more about the results have a look at the one-page summary.

Your top priorities for a new outdoor pool are:

1. A 50 metre, heated, year-round pool.
2. Larger children’s play area, new toddler pool and fun water play.
3. Accessible features – ramps and hoists.
4. Shade and seating for picnics, recreation, and swimming carnivals.
5. Adequate parking.

We heard from people in many different areas of Logan and beyond – just under 70% were from Beenleigh, Eagleby, Mt Warren Park, Bahrs Scrub, Buccan, Belivah, Windaroo, Holmview, and Eden’s Landing; 21% were from other parts of Logan, with 9% of responses from outside the City of Logan.

A number of survey respondents highlighted that they value Centenary Park outside the Aquatic Centre and this area of open green space. Some also noted that they value the Beenleigh Brass Band and their connection to the local area. Council is incorporating this feedback into the design process and is collaborating with the Beenleigh Brass Band to investigate options for them.
