Echo Park - Marsden

Children climbing on nets.

Council is planning to revitalise Echo Park to improve the overall experience for all park visitors.

Proposed upgrades will focus on the playground area, bamboo gardens, and existing concrete seating.

The plan has new equipment, including a 3-bay swing with a basket swing, a modern playground structure featuring dual slides and climbing nets, and an exciting wobble bridge.

These additions will seamlessly complement the current play equipment.

Additionally, the bamboo gardens will receive a refreshing makeover, while the concrete seating will be thoroughly cleaned.

  • Park update

Thank you to all those who provided feedback into the proposed Echo Park improvements.

Based on feedback, Council has made some slight adjustments to the concept plan to ensure the new equipment meets community needs and interests.

Here are the proposed type of equipment for Echo Park:

    - The multi-play structure will be updated to include monkey bars, as well as a florist and cafe panel.

-The proposed wobble bridge will be replaced with a sand digger, given there are 4 other spinning pieces in the playground.

-While we had proposed to refresh the bamboo garden, it will now need to be removed for safety and park maintenance reasons.
