Project Update
The Logan Central Summit held on the 11th of May was a great success with close to 200 people attending the event. The summit facilitated by the team from CoDesign Studio and Logan City Council brought together an impressive list of guest speakers including Cathryn Chatburn from Urban Enquiry, Jim Gleeson from Plan C and Roland Dillon from McKinsey and Co.
The attendees also played a valuable role in helping to identify priorities and delivery timeframe around four key areas, Connections, Context & Custodianship, Choice & Character and Collaboration & Connectivity. The summit was wrapped up with a panel discussion around stimulating business activity from the ground up and the role of locally-led activation, with panel members including Amy Grey from Vibrant Places, Uncle Barry Watson, Elder in Residence and Bronwyn Buksh from Sun Central sharing their thoughts. All in all a productive day.

Logan City Council is looking ahead the next 20 years and are committed to unlocking the economic and place making potential to develop a progressive and vibrant network of city centres for the future City of Logan.
Building on the planning that has been done to date, Council is now transitioning from 'visioning' to 'doing'. The Logan Central Summit will focus on how key government, industry, business owners, landowners and the community can collaborate and provide insight into harnessing strengths and capitalising on opportunities to help develop Logan Central as our civic and cultural heart.
