Consultation has concluded

Council is seeking your input into the development of the Logan City Council (LCC) Oxley Creek Catchment Plan (the Plan). Oxley Creek is one of the major tributaries of the Brisbane River and is an important feature in our city landscape. Council is keen to develop a plan for the catchment that is based on community input and aligns with community expectations.

This Plan will present a vision for a healthy Oxley Creek catchment. Actions in the plan will also identify recreational and creek stewardship opportunities for the local community within the City of Logan.

Brisbane City Council (BCC) has recently developed the Oxley Creek Transformation project to revitalise the Oxley Creek corridor from Larapinta to the Brisbane River.

The LCC Oxley Creek Catchment Plan will focus on the creek within our city but will seek opportunities to align with the BCC project. Working alongside BCC to improve creek health will be a key part of the LCC Oxley Creek Catchment Plan.

We are collecting your views in a number of ways to develop the draft Oxley Creek Catchment Plan. You can;

  • Complete the survey to tell us your vision for the catchment area, how you use it and what you value,
  • Share your story about your connection to the catchment; or
  • Use the places map and drop a pin to make suggestions on what and were Council should focus.

Following on from this, Council will develop a draft plan and give you the opportunity to provide further feedback to make sure we have heard you correctly.

The opportunity to share your vision for Oxley Creek will close at 11.45 pm on the 15th of December.

  • running community events & school excursions
  • formalised canoe launch points
  • places for educational signage & information walks
