  • 2025 Park update

Work on the Echo Park project is due to start the week of 17 March.

We expect it will be completed in early May, weather permitting. When finished, the park will have a range of new features.

    Improvements will include:

    • removing existing playground, fencing, signs, seating and softfall
    • new play equipment, including a Playpark system, combi swing with rope seat, play cafe, and sand digger
    • a new bin enclosure and park seat
    • new pedestrian bollards at connecting pathway entrances at Echo Court and Kurilpa Street frontage
    • new sand and rubberised softfall in the playground area
    • new plants in the existing circular garden bed.

  • Park update

Thank you to all those who provided feedback into the proposed Echo Park improvements.

Based on feedback, Council has made some slight adjustments to the concept plan to ensure the new equipment meets community needs and interests.

Here are the proposed type of equipment for Echo Park:

    - The multi-play structure will be updated to include monkey bars, as well as a florist and cafe panel.

-The proposed wobble bridge will be replaced with a sand digger, given there are 4 other spinning pieces in the playground.

-While we had proposed to refresh the bamboo garden, it will now need to be removed for safety and park maintenance reasons.
