A long term Master Plan has been developed for Rosia Park incorporating community feedback as well as input from key stakeholders and specialist consultants. The Final Master Plan was endorsed by Council on 17 April 2018.

The key changes following the public consultation phase include:

  • Change to wheeled sports clubhouse location, now located further north to better accommodate banked track location;
  • Minor changes to criterium, banked track, pump track and skate park designs;
  • Spectator seating and lighting for AFL facilities now specified on the master plan;
  • Ensuring the car parking requirements meets the projected need for the site;
  • Ensuring protection to environmental corridor; and
  • Ensuring pedestrian / cycle connections within the site and broader connectivity.

The key elements of the Master Plan include:

  • An AFL regional facility with two full size ovals and a clubhouse;
  • A cycling precinct with a criterium track, banked track, pump track, trial area;
  • A nature play area with amenities and picnic facilities;
  • Recreation trails;
  • Site access and sufficient car parking;
  • Water sensitive urban design with the provision of a bio-detention basin; and
  • Weed management and fire management.

Please note, the Master Plan is a vision of the future of the Rosia Park, providing a long-term concept for the anticipated future needs of the community. It is expected that the plan would be developed in stages over the next 10 - 20 years.
